Vin Chaud (Hot Wine)
In France, vin chaud has been enjoyed during winter for centuries, especially at Christmas markets and gatherings. Originating in medieval Europe, spiced and heated wine was thought to have restorative properties and was a practical way to warm up during the colder months. Today, it remains a symbol of conviviality, bringing people together around a pot of fragrant, warming goodness.
