What to See and do near La Belugue during your Provence Vacation

When you arrive in Provence, something inside you shifts. The air smells like thyme and wild rosemary. Time slows down.

Whether you’re staying in our boutique bed & breakfast or joining our hands-on cooking classes, I want you to experience the Provence that we fell in love with, the quiet roads, intimate vineyards, and long lunches that feel like they came out of a film.

Stay at a Boutique Bed & Breakfast in Authentic Provence

La Belugue is not a hotel — it is a home. You’ll wake up to breakfast in the garden, homemade jam, fresh bread from the village bakery, and the sound of church bells.

Take a Hands-On Cooking Class (optional, but unforgettable)

Whether or not you’re staying in our B&B, you can join our immersive cooking experience. We cook with seasonal ingredients from local farmers, cheesemakers, and herbs grown in our own garden. Some days we start at the village market; other days, the kitchen is already stocked, and you simply arrive ready to cook.

Visit the Lavender Fields of Valensole (June–July)

Just a short drive from La Belugue, the Valensole Plateau opens into endless lavender fields. Morning is best for soft light and fewer crowds. Stop at small distilleries for lavender essential oil, soap, and honey.

Wine Tasting with Local Winemakers

Within 15–25 minutes of La Belugue, you’ll find vineyards where the winemaker pours your glass themselves, and conversation flows naturally.

Picnic and Swim at Lac d’Esparron or Lac de Sainte-Croix

Pack bread, chèvre, and a bottle of rosé. Kayak, paddle, swim or take a nap in the shade. This is Provence in its purest form.
